Bridget had a few gorgeous pieces in the store with this same color and i loved it. I always looked for pieces that were in really good condition because i had never been a fan of painting solid wood furniture. Ryan had also mentioned how easy it was to find a recipe for diy chalk paint. I have always loved antique furniture.

I knew i wanted to paint it a nice creamy white so on the advice of my friend bridget at grungy galz i used annie sloan chalk paint and mixed old white with pure white. The lines the details the style. I now have a painted hutch in our dining room and i painted it with blue chalk paint. The transformation of this antique hutch is amazing.

Since this dining room hutch was so dark i was concerned that it would be difficult to cover. Jason and i knew for about a year that we wanted to switch our living room and dining room so that the dining room would be larger and so we could fit a large table and a large hutch in the space.
