Chevy truck door wont open from inside or outside.

The drivers inside handle broke. All linkage is in. However when it is in the unlocked position i still cannot open my drivers door from the inside or the outside. Hey guys my drivers side door will not open from the outside as well as inside.

The lock barely moves but the window works fine. I have a 1997 chevy 1500 with power windows and door locks. Are there any tricks to open the door so i can finish my repair. The lock on my door still goes up and down as if it can be locked and unlocked.
